Ella in two days
Little Adam's Peak takes about forty minutes up and rewards an early start more than almost anything else on the island. The light comes over the gap and the whole valley turns gold for about ten minutes.
The Nine Arch Bridge is twenty minutes' walk from town through tea. Train times are posted locally and change; ask at your guesthouse the night before rather than trusting anything printed online.
The second day is better spent not planning it. Ella is a small town with good coffee and a view, and the point of coming up from the coast is partly to sit still at a lower temperature.
